Arcane Arts Academy 2 felt a bit easier than the first title or other newer titles from GameHouse, but that is absolutely a good thing in my book. Although I don't play this type of game specifically for the store, I enjoy the mechanic more than the story in general in time management games. I like to see her grow up a bit and not get into all the troubles she gets into because she has learned from earlier mistakes. I had sometimes trouble understanding why the main character made a poor choice after another poor choice. It feels a bit like Harry Potter, but also totally different.

I did miss a bit of a recap of the story from the first game, so you won't really be introduced to the characters, but I think it is not that hard to understand the story from this game alone. This is the second game in this particular series and it goes further where the story stopped in the first game.
